Our R&D team works closely with customers to develop new applications and solutions. Due to this cooperative approach, Foseco will showcase new products and equipment technologies for die casting foundries on EUROGUSS from January 18th to 20th, 2022. At the Foseco booth, visitors can discover new and innovative solutions to achieve cost-effective aluminum melting and insulation, and to optimize melt handling, transfer and metering. We look forward to seeing you at our booth in Hall 7A, booth number. 523.

Controlled metal handling and melt quality are the key to aluminum foundries

As the die casting industry becomes more and more complex, the demand for improved metallurgical control is also increasing. To meet this demand, Foseco has added new features to its industry-leading FDU degassing unit and MTS melt processing station to ensure that our technology is at the most advanced level of automated aluminum melt processing technology:

COVERAL, SIMMODAL and NUCLEANT fluxes are a series of new granular treatment agents, covering major casting operations such as cleaning, slag removal, modification and grain refinement. They are specially formulated for use in combination with FDU and MTS to minimize smoke and smoke.

Foseco provides a full range of silicon carbide and clay graphite crucibles, distillation pots and other special-shaped crucibles for fuel combustion, induction and resistance furnaces. In the aluminum metal transfer zone, crucibles from the ENERTEK energy-saving and DURATEK long-life series highlight the energy and cost saving potential in melting, holding and metalworking furnace applications.

Foseco's integral refractory lining series include ALUGARD low-cement castables and TRIAD non-cemented castables. The TRIAD series contains a new aluminum "non-wetting" additive that provides excellent resistance to corundum development in a wider temperature range, while the KELLUNDITE dry vibration lining is very suitable for coreless induction melting furnaces.

The INSURAL multi-component and highly insulated metering furnace lining for aluminum foundries combines energy saving with long service life and resistance to oxide buildup.

The use of energy-saving batching furnaces in aluminum foundries is regarded by many as the best available technology today. Foseco is now able to provide a new multi-component and highly insulating lining made of INSURAL, which can be installed immediately. Installation can be completed in less than 3 days, there will be no ongoing hydrogen problems, and due to the completely dry installation process, no sintered lining is required. Energy saving up to 17%.
